Refund, Return & Food Safety Policy

Welcome to Praket Foods. As we deal in freshly prepared and perishable food products, this Refund & Return Policy is designed to maintain food safety, hygiene standards, customer trust, and legal compliance.

By purchasing from Praket Foods, customers agree to the following policy.

1. Nature of Products

All products sold by Praket Foods, including sweets, snacks, namkeen, laddoos, chips, festive foods, and homemade food items, are perishable consumable goods prepared in hygienic conditions using food-grade ingredients.

Due to the consumable and perishable nature of food items, returns and exchanges are limited and subject to strict safety verification.

2. No Return Policy for Opened or Consumed Products

For safety, hygiene, and public health reasons:

  • Opened food packets cannot be returned

  • Partially consumed products cannot be returned

  • Products stored improperly after delivery are not eligible for refund or replacement

  • Taste preference or personal liking/disliking is not considered a valid reason for refund

This policy helps prevent contamination risks, tampering, and health hazards.

3. Eligible Cases for Refund or Replacement

Customers may request a refund or replacement only under the following conditions:

A. Damaged Product During Delivery

If the product is:

  • physically damaged (packaging),

  • leaking,

  • torn,

  • crushed,

  • or improperly sealed upon delivery.

B. Wrong Product Delivered

If a different product from the confirmed order is delivered.

C. Spoiled or Unsafe Product

If the product appears:

  • spoiled,

  • foul smelling,

  • fungus affected,

  • contaminated,

  • or unsafe for consumption before the expiry/best before period.

D. Missing Items

If items are missing from the delivered order.

4. Mandatory Proof Requirement

To process any complaint, customers must provide:

  • Clear unboxing video (preferred)

  • Product photographs

  • Batch details/label image

  • Invoice or order confirmation

  • Complaint description

Complaints without valid proof may not be eligible for refund or replacement.

5. Complaint Reporting Timeline

All complaints must be reported within:

  • 24 hours of delivery for sweets and fresh products

  • 48 hours of delivery for packaged snacks and dry products

Complaints raised after this period may not be accepted due to food safety limitations.

6. Food Safety & Health Risk Disclaimer

Praket Foods follows hygienic preparation practices and uses quality ingredients; however:

  • Individual allergic reactions may vary

  • Customers are responsible for checking ingredient details before consumption

  • Some products may contain or be processed near:

    • Nuts

    • Milk

    • Gluten

    • Sesame

    • Dry fruits

    • Spices

Customers with allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or sensitivities are advised to consult before ordering.

Praket Foods shall not be held responsible for:

  • allergic reactions due to undisclosed sensitivities,

  • improper storage after delivery,

  • delayed consumption beyond shelf life,

  • or mishandling by customers/courier after successful delivery.

7. Shelf Life & Storage Responsibility

Customers must follow storage instructions mentioned on packaging.

Examples:

  • Store in cool and dry place

  • Refrigerate if required

  • Keep away from moisture and sunlight

  • Consume before best before date

Once delivered, product safety becomes dependent on customer handling and storage conditions.

8. Refund Process

If a complaint is verified and approved:

  • Refund may be processed to the original payment method, OR

  • Store credit/replacement product may be provided

Refund timelines may vary between 5–10 business days depending on payment providers and banks.

9. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds/replacements will not be provided for:

  • Incorrect delivery address provided by customer

  • Failed delivery attempts due to customer unavailability

  • Minor packaging dents not affecting product quality

  • Delay caused by courier, weather, festivals, strikes, or unforeseen events

  • Change of mind after order preparation or dispatch

  • Products consumed substantially before complaint

10. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled only before preparation or dispatch begins.

  • Once preparation/packaging has started, cancellation may not be possible due to the perishable nature of food items.

11. Limitation of Liability

Praket Foods’ maximum liability shall be limited to the purchase value of the affected product/order only.

We shall not be liable for:

  • indirect damages,

  • medical expenses,

  • emotional distress,

  • business loss,

  • or consequential damages arising from misuse, delayed consumption, allergies, or improper storage of products.
